Itinerary

Yangon - Bago - Yangon (By Car)

Our professional guide will pick you up from your hotel located at 08:30 am and take excursion to the ancient capital of Bago (formerly known as Pegu), 80 kilometers northeast of Yangon.

Visit Kyakhatwine Monastery in time for the monks’ lunch.
Visit the interesting Bago Market with varieties of vegetables, flowers and commodity goods.
And then visit the Shwetharhlaung Pagoda, with its giant reclining Buddha, having a history over 1000 years old; the nearby Monastic Education Center; the tour continues to the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, with 114 metres the highest pagoda in Myanmar and walk from there to the HinthaGon Pagoda, the place where Bago was founded.
Visit the cheroot factory.

Late afternoon drive back to Yangon and on the way, visit KanbawzaThardy Palace, the old palace of King BayintNaung, the four giant sitting Buddha Image. If time permits short visit to the HtautKyant War Cemetery.
Then transfer back to your hotel and finish your tour at 04:30 pm.
