Our professional guide will pick you up from your hotel located at 08:30 am and drive to Twante: (46 km, approxi: 1 ½ Hr-drive) through Hlaingtharyar –Twante road.
It is located west across the Hlaing River from the city of Yangon. The 220 villages of Twante Township are organized into 65 village tracts and 8 urban wards. Twante Township is well known for its pottery activities handled by a few families since several generations. It is also area of fish farming in Yangon region.
Enjoy the country-side scenery. Upon arrival to Twante, visit Twante Jetty, local market and observe Pottery works in Oh-bo Quarter.
Proceed to Weaving looms in Shan-Su Quarter to observe traditional hand-loom weaving.
Visit Shwe Sandaw Pagoda which is the temple embraces two strands of hair of Buddha and is where all local people in Ayearewaddy regions come to pray for good life.

Community based tourism is tourism in which local residents (often rural, poor and economically marginalised) invite tourists to visit their communities with the provision of overnight accommodation.
On arrival into to Kyaikthalae village, you will receive a warm welcome at the community lodge. A talk will then be provided by the community leader to explain more about the village and the people this project currently supports. You will then pay a visit to villager’s homes to learn about local industry including bamboo basket weaving and sewing. Following this, you will explore the fields of the local farming community to learn about the creation of natural fertilizer, the cultivation of crops and poultry farming. This will be followed by lunch and a culture show at the village. Following this, you will stop by at Mingalar monastic school and greet the children during their recess. Conclude the day with a visit to Twante’s pottery kiln.
Return to Yangon.
Upon arrival back to Yangon and transferred to your Hotel and finish your tour at 05:30 pm.
