The Sule Pagoda is a Burmese stupa located in the heart of downtown Yangon, occupying the centre of the city and an important space in contemporary Burmese politics, ideology and geography. Stroll around Yangon City hall which was the first large-scale masonry building to combine European design and engineering technology with traditional Myanmar flourishes, Mahabandoola Park and Central Fire Station , one of the oldest buildings remaining in Yangon that retains its original use.
Then, take Yangon Circular Train at Yangon Central Railway station that weaves and trundles its way through the city’s main townships and districts in a rough circle. (one round loop will take approximately ~ 3hrs). After that, visit Insein local market in Insein for 45 minutes and observe the local ways of life, fresh vegetables and livestock. Then you will embark from Insein Train station and back to Central Railway Station.
On this whole loop, you will be discovering the students in white and green uniform whereas stylishly dressed professionals with pants and tees in their daily commute. On the other hand, vendors and hawkers jostling their commodities on train in order to reach their destinations. Again, some picturesque of food sellers hopping on each station selling betel nut, cigarettes, sweet buns, steamed sweet corn and other aromatic produce.
Finish your tour at Yangon Central Railway station at around 02:30pm.
